#2022-101205/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 04-23-2022 at about 0602 hours, officers responded to a 911 caller reporting that three suspects had broken into their home and stolen their vehicle upon leaving a location in South Seattle. Officers arrived and learned that the 3 suspects entered the home by breaking a window on the north side of the house. Once inside the suspects moved all the family members into one room, at least one suspect was armed with a handgun. The armed suspect stood watch over the family while the other two suspects searched the home for items to take. The suspects were reported to be in the home for a significant amount of time and upon leaving stole one of the victims’ vehicles. Officers conducting an area check located the stolen vehicle less than a block from the home unoccupied. The vehicle was impounded to the processing room. The suspects were not located during the area check. Robbery Unit briefed.
#2022-101346/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 04-23-2022 at 1024 hours, officers responded to a report of a male shot in the ankle in SODO. Officers arrived and provided medical assistance until Seattle Fire responded. The victim was not forthcoming with details about the incident but did say that 2-3 males in a Black Chevy SUV pulled up to his RV and one of the suspects was armed with a long-barreled firearm. The suspect with the weapon shot him in the right leg resulting in a non-life-threatening injury. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
#2022-101421/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 04-23-2022 at 1211 hours, officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of 6 Ave NW for reports of an attempted stabbing inside a residence. Officers arrived and established P.C for felony harassment and misdemeanor assault. Officers attempted to talk to the suspect for nearly 2 hours with no success. A search warrant was written and signed, and SWAT was able to get the suspect to exit his residence where he was taken into custody.
#2022-100755/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 04-23-2022 at 1728 hours, a Help the Firefighter was broadcasted as a Seattle Fire unit on a call was not answering their radio. Numerous patrol units responded to the area. A firefighter, who was standing on the sidewalk, was approached by a male in crisis who began yelling at the firefighter before pushing him and then walking off. Suspect was located a few blocks away and taken into custody without incident. The firefighter was not injured. Suspect booked into KCJ.
#2022-101688/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 04-23-2022 at 1742 hours, several 911 calls came in about a male shooting a gun inside an apartment building on Capitol Hill. Officers from multiple precincts responded and contained the building while SWAT, CRG, K9 and HNT responded. There was some initial uncertainty about which floor and room the suspect was in. After interviewing residents, officers were able to identify the suspect and determine the correct room. HNT was able to contact the suspect via phone. He was in crisis and would not agree to come out of his room. Patrol obtained a search warrant, and SWAT deployed OC into the room. After further negotiations, the suspect agreed to come out and was arrested by SWAT. Nobody was injured by the gunfire. The suspect was booked for Malicious Mischief. Two handguns were recovered at the scene.
#2022-101736/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 04-23-2022 at 1911 hours, a victim was walking down the street when an unknown suspect robbed the victim at gunpoint. The suspect pistol whipped the victim several times. A K-9 track had negative results.
