Two men were injured in a knife duel on Tuesday at a Pioneer Square apartment building.
Around 10:30 PM, a resident had just finished watching wrestling with a friend at an apartment in the 200 block of Yesler Way and exited the unit. As he was walking through a hallway, a man, armed with two knives, emerged from a neighboring unit.
The suspect—the man armed with the knives—then charged at the victim and started swinging the knives toward him and stabbed the victim in the chest.
The victim then pulled out his own knife and fought back, stabbing the suspect several times. The victim was able to get the suspect on the ground and relieve him of his knives.
Officers arrived and arrested the suspect and transported him to Harborview Medical Center for treatment before booking him into jail.
Medics also transported the victim to Harborview for treatment.
