#2022-110581/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-03-2022 at 0139 hours, a male was returning home from a casino in Skyway. When he reached his front porch, he was approached by three suspects, one armed with a pistol. The suspects ordered the victim not to open his front door, then had the victim hand over his wallet. The suspects stole approximately five hundred dollars in cash from the victim. The suspects also took the keys to the victim’s vehicle, which they rifled through before fleeing in a dark blue sedan. At 0414 hours SPD Radio broadcasted info on a robbery that occurred in King County. The suspect descriptions and vehicle descriptions matched the suspects in this incident.

#2022-110580/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-03-2022 at 0139 hours, Seattle Fire units responded to a residential fire. There was extensive damage to the residence, which was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Fire Marshal later responded to the scene and determined that the fire was intentionally set. SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad was notified.

#2022-110922/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-03-2022 at 1240 hours, while conducting routine patrol in the 1200 block of S Weller ST, officers observed a suspicious vehicle. During a routine check, they located a passed-out subject in the driver’s seat with a handgun in his lap and surrounded by narcotics paraphernalia. The subject admitted to “smoking black” prior to passing out and was arrested for DUI. Two officers processed the driver while the remainder of the officers remained on scene to assist with a warrant search of the vehicle. During the warrant service, the gun was located along with a large amount of narcotics packaged for resale.

#2022-111115/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-03-2022 at 1530 hours, Seattle Fire was dispatched to a boat fire and discovered a deceased person aboard. The Fire Marshal responded and determined the fire to be accidental. The boat had been occupied by the same elderly man for at least the past ten years. He was reported by witnesses to be in poor health, a heavy smoker, and on oxygen. SPD’s ABS responded to assist and will handle any follow-up.

#2022-111120/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-03-2022 at 1800 hours, officers responded to a demonstration at Westlake Park. A crowd of approximately 1,000 arrived. The crowd marched from Westlake Park to Cal Anderson where they dispersed. No arrests made related to this demonstration.
