Police are investigating two shootings over the weekend–one in the University District and another in SODO.
On May 6th, around 9:30 PM, police were called to the University of Washington Medical Center after a woman with a gunshot wound to her arm came in for treatment.
The victim told police she had been riding in a car with another man when someone fired into the vehicle near 15th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Ravenna Boulevard.
The victim and the man in the vehicle were unsure of where the gunfire had come from and were unable to provide any suspect information.
Police searched near 15th and Ravenna Boulevard, but were unable to find a crime scene or evidence related to the incident.
In a second, unrelated incident the following morning, shortly after 2 AM, SPD Officers and Washington State Patrol Troopers heard gunfire in the area of the West Seattle Bridge. Police found shell casings in the road near Spokane Street and 4th Avenue.
A short time later, police learned a 28-year-old man with gunshot wounds had been dropped off at Harborview Medical Center.
Police are investigating both incidents and are asking anyone with information to call the Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
