#2022-120756/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 0202 hours, officers responded to Pine St and Melrose AV to reports of a subject firing a 9mm gun. It was reported that the subject was firing towards traffic. Officers arrived and located witnesses to the shooting but did not locate the shooter or any victims. Officers canvassed the area for evidence but were unable to locate any. Witnesses stated that shooter who was a male, 20S, 5’9, NAVY BLU BANDANA, BLK JKT, UNK PANTS got in a silver or tan GMC Denali and drove off in an unknown direction.
#2022-120778/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 0234 hours, officers on a detail heard gunshots in the Seward Park area. A 9-1-1 caller witnessed a vehicle fleeing the area immediately after the shots were fired. Officers located evidence of a shooting in the lower parking lot near the beach in Seward Park. No property damage or victims located.
#2022-120799/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 0314 hours, officers responded to a carjacking with a firearm implied in the 3600 Block of NE 145 ST. The suspect entered the victim’s vehicle, implied he had a gun, and then dragged her out by her legs before fleeing in the stolen vehicle. At approximately 0322 HRS, a K9 Officer who was heading home, located the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling at normal speeds and following traffic laws. A high-risk vehicle stop was attempted but the vehicle continued to drive at normal speeds and would stop as if to pull over but then would continue driving slowly. After the suspect did this multiple times, the officer turned off its emergency lights and let the vehicle go. A few moments later, the vehicle turned onto NE Ravenna AV from 20 AV NE and struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, causing the stolen vehicle to become disabled due to a broken axle. The vehicle traveled a short distance further, before coming to a stop. The suspect was subsequently arrested without incident. No injuries reported. Screened with Robbery. Suspect booked into KCJ.
#2022-120821/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 0416 hours, a 56-year-old male victim took heroin at his tent with his girlfriend. Approximately 4 hours later, he began having a seizure. Seattle Fire responded and attempted CPR, but their efforts were unsuccessful, and the patient was pronounced deceased at 0446. KCME responded and took custody of the body.
#2022-120888/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 0652 hours, officers were dispatched to investigate a running vehicle with 2 occupants inside, slumped over. When officers arrived and attempted to contact the occupants, the suspect vehicle drove forward and collided with the marked police vehicle. This caused some minor damage to the front corner of the patrol vehicle. The suspect then fled the scene and has not been located at this time. The patrol vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the collision and no officers were injured. Photos of the damage were taken and uploaded to evidence.com.
#2022-121168/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 1417 hours, a male was found deceased and alone in his tent. According to other residents, the male had recently ingested some narcotics and had a history of breathing problems. KCME responded to recover the body.
#2022-121180/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 1442 hours, a male in crisis climbed a tower crane after making comments that he was going to kill himself. Patrol officers responded and were able to talk him down, where he was detained. AMR responded and transported him to a local hospital for an ITA. No injuries were reported.
#2022-121366/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-14-2022 at 1840 hours, a victim and a suspect engaged in a verbal disturbance that escalated to a stabbing. The victim, who remained uncooperative during the investigation, sustained a stab wound to the torso. Seattle Fire assessed the injury as not life-threatening; Medics provided transport to a local hospital.
