#2022-125932/East Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-19-2022 at 1211 hours, multiple 911 callers reported a subject was threatening people with a knife near the intersection of E Jefferson ST and 12 AV E. Responding officers located the subject near the intersection and ordered him to stop. The subject did not obey commands and took off running from officers while armed with the knife. While following the suspect, officers had to yell out at pedestrians to alert them of the dangerous situation. Eventually, the suspect stopped at the intersection of E Jefferson ST and 12 AV E and engaged with officers. A contact team was formed with 40mm less lethal launcher, TASER, CRT, HNT, and various patrol units. Verbal de-escalation was unsuccessful, and the suspect attempted to leave while still armed with the knife, continuing to endanger the public. A 40mm launcher was deployed successfully and officers were able to take the suspect into custody without the incident escalating any further. After the arrest, the suspect threatened to kick an officer in the throat once he got out of handcuffs. Seattle Fire was called to the scene to screen the suspect and AMR responded to transport him to HMC with a hospital guard for medical evaluation. Once HMC cleared the suspect, he will be book into KCJ for two counts of felony harassment and one count of unlawful use of weapon. Watch Commander responded to this scene.

#2022-126073/South Precinct/Second Watch:

On 05-19-2022 at 1454 hours, officers responded to MLK Jr Way S/ S Othello St to a pedestrian that was struck by the light rail train. The female subject in her 20’s, was in the crosswalk, and crossed against the signal when she was struck by a NB train. The subject sustained life-threatening injuries. The incident was screened with TCI.

#2022-126458/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-19-2022 at 2230 hours, the Narcotics Unit and GVRU were conducting an operation in Burien. When uniformed detectives attempted to contact/arrest the suspect, he fled on foot. Type 2 Use of Force was used to place the suspect under arrest. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Investigation of VUCSA- PWI. The incident was screened with FIT.

#2022-126516/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 05-19-2022 at 2358 hours, a female downstairs neighbor took a trip upstairs to ask a male to quiet down. His response was to pull the victim into his unit and hit her over the head with a wine bottle and broken off table leg. A bystander neighbor pepper sprayed the suspect and ended the assault. PD was called, arrived, developed PC, and made an arrest. After the handcuffs were on, the suspect became combative and assaulted several officers. Subject booked into KCJ. Type 2 Force Reporting initiated for this event. Screened with Lt.
