#2022-129874/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 05-23-2022 at 1043 hours, Vehicle 1 (V1) was SB on Aurora approaching 135th. The driver stated he had no brakes approaching the stop light. He attempted to turn EB onto 135th. In the process, he clipped Vehicle 2 (V2) which was stopped in the left turn lane. He then hit two vehicles headed NB and proceeded to flip his car. V1 caught fire. Seattle Fire responded. No injuries, driver 1 cited & arrested on unrelated warrant. NB Aurora was closed with SDOT assistance for a short time.
#2022-129954/East Precinct/Second Watch:
On 05-23-2022 at 1224 hours, officers responded to a report of a fight disturbance at a park. When officers attempted to engage with potential victims the group became hostile. Local media arrived on scene.
#2022-130302/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-23-2022 at 2013 hours, a male victim was working as a clerk at the convenience store located in the 3200 block of SW Avalon WY when he was notified by the store security company that a suspect had concealed a beer in his backpack. Victim confronted the suspect, who punched him numerous times. The fight spilled out to the parking lot and bystanders had to pull the suspect off the victim. Suspect left on foot. Area check was negative.
#2022-130393/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-23-2022 at 2201 hours, 911 received calls of multiple shots fired at a local hardware store. Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a shooting and bullet strikes to a nearby business. No suspect(s). No known victims. Additional evidence was located. Witnesses were also located and identified. It is believed this might be a fight between pimps. GVRU was consulted. Patrol processed the scene.
#2022-130431/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-23-2022 at 2304 hours, multiple 911 callers reported a male firing a handgun near NE 120 ST / 33 AV NE before fleeing on foot northbound. Officers arrived in the area and located evidence of a shooting in the street. No victims or property damage were located. Evidence was collected. Area check for described suspect was negative.
