#2022-132893/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 05-26-2022 at 1258 hours, Seattle Fire requested PD for a very strong chemical smell from a unit in an apartment complex. The building was evacuated. ABS responded and cleared the unit of any obvious dangerous chemicals. SFD was unable to locate the source of the initial complaint of a chemical smell.
#2022-133035/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 05-26-2022 at 1536 hours, two suspects entered the Seattle Credit Union at 500 S Michigan St. Suspect 1 (S1) approached the victim teller and passed a demand note stating he had a gun. The suspect then pulled a handgun from his coat and showed the teller. The suspect kept his hand on or near the gun throughout the robbery. Suspect 2 (S2) stayed in close proximity, shielding S1’s actions and watching the other bank occupants. The suspects then turned to leave the bank, bumped into each other and dropped the gun, they then hastily picked up the gun and fled the bank on foot. The call came into police and patrol units were on scene approximately 5 minutes later. A perimeter was established and K9 responded and began a track. Information was developed by patrol that the suspects arrived and fled in a white BMW that was parked at a nearby motel. Patrol officers were able to locate a possible suspect vehicle in the area with at least one possible on board. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, which then fled. Patrol officers and supervisors coordinated a pursuit which ended near a residence in the Rainier Valley. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. A stolen handgun was recovered near the suspect vehicle and the suspect was wearing a holster. The suspect had an active DOC escape warrant and was taken into custody and transported to Robbery Detectives at HQ for questioning. SPD Robbery Detectives responded to the scene to assist the investigation. The Latent Print Unit and SPD Video Unit responded to assist in gathering evidence. The bank robbery investigation is ongoing. The suspect was booked into jail on his DOC warrant.
#2022-133118/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 05-26-2022 at 1708 hours, while conducting an emphasis patrol, an officer observed a suspect selling narcotics. The suspect moved from the initial area on foot. The observing officer kept an eye on him and a plan was put into place involving 2 teams of officers to apprehend this suspect. During the arrest the suspect resisted and later complained of foot pain. The suspect also unsuccessfully attempted to “sluff” a loaded handgun. The arrestee had a large quantity of drugs and cash on his person. He also had two felony warrants totaling $900,000. The suspect was taken to the hospital via AMR with a hospital guard in place. He will eventually be booked into the KCJ. Lt was briefed and made further notifications. Media was notified and at the West Precinct.
#2022-133208/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 05-26-2022 at 1906 hours, officers were dispatched to the 9500 block of Aurora for a commercial armed robbery. A suspect entered a massage parlor and robbed the business at gunpoint then locked the workers in the back room and then fled the scene. Evidence was located and an area check was conducted for the suspect with no success.
#2022-133273/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-26-2022 at 2049 hours, a suspect assaulted a victim, gained control of his vehicle, fled eastbound from Roosevelt Way NE / NE 50 St, and moments later became involved in a collision that disabled the vehicle. The suspect fled on foot eastbound from the scene, then southbound. Containment was established and K-9 Units initiated a track but met with negative results. The Robbery Unit screened the incident.
#2022-133363/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 05-26-2022 at 2307 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting call in SODO. Officers arrived and located a victim who had been shot two times. Officers rendered aid until Seattle Fire arrived. The victim was transported to HMC in stable condition. Officers located, marked, photographed, and collected evidence of a shooting. Officers conducted an area check for the suspect vehicle, but it was not located. The incident was screened with GVRU.
