#2022-140379/North Precinct/First Watch:

On 06-03-2022 at 0736 hours, a parent of a child who attends a local high school called to report hearing some “chatter” regarding a school shooting planned for today’s date. The primary investigating officer conducted an investigation and learned much of the information was hearsay from one student to another and evaporating internet postings. A police presence was placed outside the school along with extra school security inside. Intel was briefed and involved with information gathering. At this time the threat was unsubstantiated after the investigation. A small police presence will remain at the school out of an abundance of caution.

A rifle was observed in the backseat of the suspect vehicle which was impounded with a hold for follow-up units.
