#2022-154322/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 06-17-2022 at 0119 hours, multiple calls were received regarding shots fired (around 20 heard) in the vicinity of an encampment near 10 Av S/S Jackson St. Unit 213 (LT Farwell) responded to the scene. Officers searched encampments and tents, but no crime scene or victims were located.
#2022-155054/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
On 06-17-2022 at 1755 hours, the owner of a recently stolen vehicle observed his vehicle in the area of 4700 block 40 Ave SW and called 911. Prior to police arrival the suspect and a passenger entered the stolen vehicle and fled the scene. Arriving police observed the vehicle and attempted a high risk stop but the vehicle began eluding them. The officers deactivated their emergency equipment and began an area search. A few minutes later a two-vehicle collision was reported at 40 Ave SW / SW Morgan St. Officers responded and discovered one of the involved vehicles was the stolen vehicle, which had also struck a tree. Seattle Fire responded and began treating the suspect driver for medical injuries, which required a medic unit transport to HMC for serious injuries. The passenger was detained until positive ID could be confirmed. She was later transported to a hospital for further medical screening related to the collision. Due to the nature of the injuries sustained by the driver he was left at HMC without guard. Media was on scene.
#2022-155119/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 06-17-2022 at 1911 hours, officers responded to the 100 block of W Mercer St (Ozzie’s), for a report of a shooting. Several callers reported the incident, including one off duty SPD Officer. Three vehicles were observed fleeing the scene (tan Altima, black Cadillac, and a red Impala). Officers located the involved Cadillac traveling EB on Mercer St. Officers stopped the Cadillac and arrested the driver (convicted felon), who was wearing an empty holster. Officers also located bullet damage to the Cadillac. GVRU Detectives responded and assisted with processing the scene. According to witnesses, there was a disturbance in front of Ozzie’s, where a firearm was displayed. A short while later, an occupant of the tan Altima (parked in the 600 block of 1st Ave W) fired several times at the black Cadillac, as it drove by that location. At this time, it is unknown how the red Impala was involved. There were no reported injuries. Evidence of a shooting was recovered at the scene. Patrol Officers obtained a search warrant for the Cadillac and recovered a .45 caliber firearm and a large quantity of narcotics. The suspect was later booked into KCJ for Investigation of UPFA and VUCSA-PWI. The other involved suspects remain at large. There were reports that several of the club attendees were armed.

On 06-17-2022 at 2308 hours, officers located a stolen vehicle. During the recovery of the vehicle a female was located in the backseat sleeping. The subject was detained without incident. As the officers conducted a search of the vehicle, a pistol was located in the backseat near where the female was sleeping. The firearm was reported stolen out of Issaquah, the firearm was recovered and placed into evidence.
