#2022-166024/South Precinct/First Watch:
On 06-29-2022 at approximately 0637hours, officers responded to a call of a collision into a building with a vehicle and structure fire in the 700 block of S. Michigan St. The driver fled the scene armed with a knife and began inflicting substantial injury to himself. He was apprehended nearby and was given medical aid and transportation to the hospital. The suspect was placed under arrest for DUI Hit and Run, Malicious Mischief, Obstruction.

On 06-29-2022 at 1643 hours, a suspect was arrested for assault by officers working the 3rd Ave/Pine Street Emphasis Patrol. During the search, the suspect assaulted an officer by spitting in his face. The suspect was subsequently booked into KCJ for Assault on an Officer, Assault 4, and Criminal Trespass.
