Police arrested a 36-year-old woman after she shot her neighbor late Wednesday outside a Capitol Hill apartment building.
Just before midnight, the victim, a 36-year-old man, was smoking a cigarette outside the building in the 500 block of 12th Avenue when the suspect approached him, pistol-whipped him, and then shot him.
Officers responded to the scene and found the victim in a nearby garage.
Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police went to the suspect’s apartment, arrested her, and seized a handgun before booking her into the King County Jail.
