#2022-170847/West Precinct/Third Watch:

For months in the area of 4th/Jackson an unknown suspect had been shooting at passing vehicles and Metro busses with a pellet gun. The suspect then began shooting at patrol vehicles. On 07-03/04-2022, the suspect struck 2 different patrol vehicles (2350 and 0005 hours). MCTF is currently handling the investigation. Reports completed and forwarded. 22-170847 and 22-170859.

#2022-170866/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-04-2022 at 0011 hours, officers responded to the report of a person shot. Officers located the victim who reported the shooting took place at a different location, blood was found on the ground near the location specified by the victim. No further evidence was located at the scene. Victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

#2022-171782/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-04-2022 at 2214 hours, the reporting party (RP) contacted 911 to report he had cut a female with a knife following a verbal argument. As officers investigated the incident, the RP stated he was smoking across the street from the victim who was banging a metal rod on a pole. As the RP became increasingly frustrated with the noise, he walked past the victim and then turned around to engage her with “shut up”. The male attempted to “disarm” the metal rod from the victim. During the entanglement, the RP cut the victim with his pocket-knife, causing an approximately 4-inch laceration on her arm. Seattle Fire responded to perform medical aid and the victim was transported to the hospital for further medical attention. The RP was arrested for Assault. The incident was screened and PIO notified. The knife and metal rod were recovered and placed into evidence.

#2022-172669/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-04-2022 at around 2325 hours, officers responded to the area of 17 Av SW/SW Barton St on a report of a male suspect firing a shotgun in the air. During the time, the caller did not want in-person contact, and multiple people were setting off fireworks simultaneously in the area. Multiple officers checked the site and could not locate anything besides people letting off fireworks. On 07-05-2022 at around 1619 hours, officers responded to a follow-up to the shooting call from the previous night. The victim had located evidence of a shooting at the scene. Officers arrived and witnesses noticed the suspect was still in the area. Officers processed the scene and recovered evidence of a shooting in the alleyway next to the victim’s vehicle. Officers placed the suspect into custody without incident. During the time of the arrest, the suspect was unarmed. The shotgun is still outstanding. Screened with GVRU, the suspect was arrested for Felony Harassment and Unlawful discharge of a weapon.
