#2022-171976/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-05-2022 at 0039 hours, officers responded to investigate assault and property damage. The officers located the suspect and attempted to detain him; suspect was non-compliant. Officers cuffed the suspect, who resisted, causing cuts to an officer’s hand; the cuts bled. While the suspect was being placed on an AMR gurney, he spit in the face of a second officer. Suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ for the assault on officers as well as multiple other charges.

#2022-172464/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-05-2022 at 1257 hours, officers responded to the 600 block of North 34th St for reports of a male seen cutting himself and then jumping into a canal. Officers from the harbor unit located the male in the middle of the canal screaming that he wanted to get hit by a boat and advised that he would cut any officer who tried to save him. Officers on land and by boat attempted to rescue the induvial for over 3 hours. Multiple HNT officers arrived on scene and were eventually able to get him out of the water and to the hospital.

#2022-172806/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 07-05-2022 at 1855 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of Queen Anne Ave N and W Harrison St for the report of a subject that made threats with a knife. The suspect was squatting in an apartment complex and was being evicted. During the eviction, the suspect pulled a knife on a resident of the apartment complex and began yelling hate slurs at him. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect. 2 knives were recovered from the suspect.

#2022-172865/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-05-2022 at 2024 hours, an officer was on emphasis patrol in the area of 12AV S / S Jackson ST when he observed a male in crisis running into traffic forcing vehicles to stop to avoid hitting him. He requested expedited backing units and officers attempted to detain the subject for an ITA. The subject resisted but was eventually restrained and transported to the hospital with a CBO completed for Obstruction. A type II use of force investigation was completed.

#2022-172987/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 07-05-2022 at 2259 hours, officers were dispatched to a weapons call in SODO. According to the call, an unknown suspect pointed a shotgun at the caller and threatened to kill them. The suspect then fled in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to contact the suspect, but the suspect fled. The suspect crashed his vehicle a short time later and was detained without incident. Officers were able to establish probable cause for Assault 1. The suspect was booked into KCJ after being treated at HMC. Two firearms were in plain sight in the vehicle. Officers wrote and served a warrant on the vehicle. Both firearms were recovered.
