Police are investigating after burglars smashed their way into a downtown jewelry store early Wednesday morning.
Around 3:30 AM, police received a 911 report of a burglary at the business in the 1600 block of 1st Avenue.
Officers arrived to find a stolen gray SUV had backed into the business, damaging the store’s entrance.
Investigators believe the suspects then entered the store, broke into display cases and stole jewelry before fleeing the scene.
