#2022-204760/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 08-05-2022 at 0611 hours, officers responded to a report of a male who had shot his own car window at a Shell Station. Reporting party said the suspect had been told the store was closed but the gas pumps were available. Suspect returned to his car and realized he had locked his keys inside. Suspect removed a handgun from his pocket, unloaded it, and then pistol whipped the window. Unable to break the window, the suspect reloaded his gun and shot the window. Suspect got into his car and drove away. Evidence was collected.

#2022-205309/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 08-05-2022 at 1703 hours, officers responded to a weapons call located in Yesler Terrace Park. The complainant reported she was enjoying the park with her family when a juvenile male glared into her vehicle. This made her nervous. When it was time to leave the park, she honked the horn so her kids would return to the vehicle. The juvenile male contacted her because he thought she was honking at him. Words were exchanged and the juvenile male brandished a handgun with and extended magazine. Fearing for her safety, the complainant left the park with her family and phoned 911. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

#2022-205316/North Precinct/Second Watch:

On 08-05-2022 at 1830 hours, radio received numerous calls for reports of a shooting occurring at Licton Springs Park. Officers and CRG arrived and located a witness who confirmed that two individuals were shooting at each other. Evidence of a shooting was found, but no injured parties were reported. A search for the suspect vehicle and suspects was conducted but none were located.

#2022-205429/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-05-2022 at 2149 hours, officers responded to a shots call in a greenbelt area located on SW Brandon St near 26 AV SW. Officers located evidence of a shooting, likely from the incident. One witness reported hearing a single shot. No houses nearby, no victims or suspect description.

#2022-205524/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-05-2022 at 2240 hours, Pike Place security pepper-sprayed an aggressive suspect and detained him in handcuffs. Upon officer arrival, probable cause was established for bookable crimes. As suspect was being moved to a patrol car, he spat on an officer’s arm and face resulting in an exposure. Subject booked into KCJ for Assault 3. Lt. notified.

#2022-205551/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-05-2022 at 2304 hours, officers responded to a report of a houseboat on fire in Lake Union along Westlake Av N. Upon arriving they found the houseboat fully engulfed and the flames beginning to spread to a second houseboat. Officers evacuated the remaining houseboats along the dock. SPD assisted Seattle Fire with traffic control and Westlake Av N was shut down to vehicular traffic for an extended period due to the large SFD response.
