Police Arrest Suspect in July Road Rage Shooting

Police have arrested a 31-year-old man for a July road rage shooting in the Westlake neighborhood.

In that incident, on July 15th, a woman reported the male passenger in a vehicle had brandished a gun and fired a shot at her in the 2000 block of Westlake Avenue North. No one was injured.

Three days later, on July 18th, officers were called to a First Hill address to investigate a dispute involving a man with a firearm. Police arrested the man and seized his gun.

Later, police sent the firearm for testing and were able to confirm the man’s gun had been used in the Westlake incident. Officers located and arrested the man, again, on August 12th for the Westlake shooting and booked him into jail.
