#2022-215904/East Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-16-2022 at 0009 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a known crisis caller that texted into the 911 call center threatening to “blow up the 911 offices”. The suspect was identified and using prior reports regarding the same person, officers were able to locate the suspect in a nearby shelter. Officers placed the suspect under arrest for making the threats. The suspect will be booked into KCJ pending any medical screenings at the jail.

#2022-216001/West Precinct/First Watch:

On 08-16-2022 at 0345 hours, officers responded to a trespasser in Magnolia. Upon arrival and contacting the caller, the primary officer could hear a female screaming, multiple voices, and vehicles just to the south. Officers located the screaming female who was in obvious crisis. The female initially asked for a ride home. Officers attempted to assist her with this, but she began kicking the patrol car doors and spitting on the inside of the vehicle. A sergeant arrived and attempted to speak to the female to calm her down so that officers could best assist her. The female then spit on the sergeant’s uniform. Officer then placed the female in handcuffs. AMR was called to transport. While waiting for AMR, the suspect again attempted to spit on the patrol sergeant. The suspect was placed back inside the patrol car and booked into KCJ for Inv. of Assault. A/Lt. alerted. Hazard report submitted.

#2022-216646/West Precinct/Second Watch:

On 08-16-2022 at 1400 hours, officers responded to take a report of an incident that occurred 9 days previously. The victim was on 2nd AV when the unidentified suspect ran up to her yelling and demanding that she return to her own country. When she attempted to flee, he physically intervened multiple times and got in her face yelling. The victim was fearful that she would be assaulted if she ran and was unable to escape until a passerby intervened. She has not returned to the area, where she works, since the incident due to fear of the suspect. Screened with Lt.

#2022-216709/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 08-16-2022 at 1958 hours, a suspect entered a store, cut security wires, then proceeded to steal electronic devices. Store employees successfully recovered the merchandise, but only momentarily. The suspect responded by forcefully grabbing the merchandise from the employees, causing minor scratches to their skin in the process, before fleeing the location on foot. An extensive area check met with negative results.
