Police Arrest Sexual Assault Suspect After Pursuit in North Seattle

Police are investigating a man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman and leading officers on a chase through North Seattle before he was arrested Monday afternoon.

On Monday, a woman called 911, reported a man had sexually assaulted her and provided a description of the man and his vehicle.

When officers located the suspect driving on Aurora and attempted to pull him over, the suspect refused to stop his vehicle and fled. Because the man was suspected in a serious violent incident, officers pursued him on Aurora Avenue. The suspect eventually collided with several other vehicles near 85th and Greenwood Avenue before coming to a stop. No one was seriously injured in the collisions.

Officers arrested the suspect. Detectives are interviewing the suspect and plan to book him into the King County Jail.
