#2022-221344/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
On 08-21-2022 at 0639 hours, officers saw a suspect in the middle of the street walking at the 7100 BLK of Highland Park WY SW. The suspect was causing traffic to stop. Officers gave commands to the suspect to get out of the street, but she refused. Officers ran her name while tailing the suspect, and she had a warrant out of Tukwila. The suspect fled on foot, and officers caught up to the suspect. The officers got into a brief struggle with the suspect and placed her in custody. The suspect had minor injuries from the incident. Seattle Fire responded to the scene. The suspect was booked for the warrant, and a CBO was completed for obstructing and resisting arrest under a different case number.
#2022-221506/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08-21-2022 at 1132 hours, a bank ATM technician was working on a drive-thru ATM outside the bank branch near NE. 130th St./Lake City Way. NE. While the ATM was completely opened and exposed, a suspect walked up behind the victim and demanded all the money from the ATM. The suspect had a bulge in his hoodie pocket, and he reached into the pocket and gestured as if he was holding a gun inside the pocket. The victim told the suspect how to remove the cash from the ATM and the suspect fled S/B on Lake City Way in a newer white RAV4. Guardian 1 was not available, and an area check was unsuccessful.
#2022-221551/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08-21-2022 1221 hours in the 2500 block of Magnolia Blvd W a gentleman was sitting on a park bench enjoying the view when he was attacked from behind by a suspect causing lacerations and contusions to victim’s head. The suspect continued assaulting the victim until a passerby intervened by pulling the suspect off the victim. The suspect then assaulted the passerby before fleeing. Officers located and arrested the suspect a short distance away. During the arrest the suspect assaulted two officers, causing minor injuries. Suspect was booked into KCJ for several counts of assault and felony harassment.
#2022-221641/West Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08-21-2022 at 1418 hours, off-duty officers observed a suspect in the POV garage of the West precinct and requested assistance. The suspect was placed under arrest and officers found multiple burglary tools in the suspect’s bag. The same suspect was confronted by officers last week when he was observed walking towards the POV entrance. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for attempted burglary.
#2022-221759/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 08-21-2022 at 1631 hours, at a local encampment, a patrol officer on-viewed an armed robbery. The suspect ran along the Duwamish river, but was arrested by officers. The suspect had a 150K DV assault warrant. ABS and K9 responded to the scene and located evidence. A search warrant was served on the suspect’s vehicle. A large quantity of suspected narcotics and cash was recovered.
#2022-221972/North Precinct/Third Watch:
On 08-21-2022 at 2119 hours, officers responded to a shooting in a homeless encampment in the 11500 BLK Stone AV N. Upon arrival, one male victim was located with a single gunshot wound to his lower right leg. Seattle Fire transported victim to HMC with non-life-threatening injuries.
#2022-222014/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 08-21-2022 at 2204 hours, a male victim and his girlfriend were walking near the library on the 5 Ave side when an unassociated female camping outside the library engaged with the couple and stabbed the male in the back one time with a folding knife. Officers and Seattle Fire arrived and treated the male for his wounds. The victim was transported to HMC in stable condition. A witness pointed out the suspect who was back at her camp site at the library. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into KCJ.
#2022-222040/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 08-21-2022 at 2233 hours, officers responded to a call of shots fired. There were no witnesses and officers were initially unable to locate the scene. A short time later, on a prowler call in the same area, the shooting scene was found, and evidence of a shooting was located. All shots had been aimed at an unoccupied vehicle. The owner of the vehicle did not know any motive for being targeted and there was no threat to life because of the shots. GVRU was not working.
