#2022-252211/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 09-21-2022 at 0040 hours, officers responded to a property damage call involving 3 suspects spray painting a structure. Officers located and attempted to stop one of the suspects who actively fought with an officer by pushing them several times and throwing a large spray can at them. This suspect, along with one other accomplice, were taken into custody and booked into KCJ. The officer sustained no injuries in this incident. This incident was screened with FIT.

#2022-252272/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0406 hours, a victim stated that two males pulled up in a vehicle at 2 Ave SW/Highland Park Way SW. The victim stated that one of the suspects grabbed her and threw her to the ground. The victim stated that the suspect put a rifle to her head. The suspects took the victim’s generator and fled in a Black Chevy Suburban. South Precinct officers located the vehicle near 30 Ave S/S Holly St. The vehicle refused to stop, and officers asked for authorization to pursue the vehicle. The pursuit was authorized. The pursuit continued until speeds became unreasonable, and then the pursuit was terminated. Robbery notified.

#2022-252298/East Precinct/First Watch:

At 0540 hours, at least two masked people arrived by car and placed a suspicious package near the front door of a business. Workers inside were concerned enough to evacuate and phone police. Officers arrived, secured the immediate area, then requested ABS. ABS responded and rendered the package safe. ABS detectives will handle the follow up.

#2022-252580/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1143 hours, a developmentally disabled male victim was at a bus stop waiting for a bus. When the bus arrived, he approached it to get on and was violently assaulted by three juvenile males who ended up taking his backpack and fleeing the scene. This attack was unprovoked and sent the victim to the hospital. An officer located the suspects and detained them. The identities of the suspects were confirmed, and evidence of the assault was acquired. The three suspects were booked into YSC for Investigation of Robbery.

#2022-252911/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1715 hours, an unknown male walked up to the side window of a US Postal Service vehicle in a residential area of northeast Seattle and threatened the carrier with a handgun. He demanded only the mail carrier’s USPS keys-nothing else. The victim handed them over and the suspect told him to look down. The victim complied and did not see where the suspect went before he looked up again. However, a witness saw the suspect get into the passenger side of a waiting BMW sedan and flee e/b. The victim was uninjured and area check was negative. Responding officers obtained evidence. The USPS Supervisor and US Postal Inspector responded to the scene. SPD Robbery Unit was notified.

#2022-252963/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1812 hours, a UPS driver observed a male steal a package from his truck. The UPS worker contacted the suspect and asked for his package back after confirming with other individuals that he did in fact take it. When he contacted the suspect, the suspect pulled out two knives and lunged at the UPS worker, narrowly missing his abdominal region. The suspect then grabbed a large piece of wood and attempted to hit the UPS worker with it. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody and recovered the two knives on his person.

#2022-253105/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2141 hours, officers heard multiple shots coming from the Seward Park area. Around the same time multiple callers reported the same. Officers arrived and located evidence of a shooting in the street. Officers contacted one victim whose car was hit by a round. Officers also contacted a citizen whose house was hit by a stray round. The suspects were gone and not located. Evidence was collected.
