#2022-254874/South Precinct/Second Watch:
On 09-23-2022 at 1544 hours, a Sounder Train was traveling southbound in the 4100 block near Diagonal AV S. The train engineer observed a female stumbling while walking with her head down towards the tracks. The engineer sounded the horn and immediately began to slow the train down. The front right side of the train clipped the female at approximately 30-35 MPH and she was thrown to the ground. She was alert, and conscious and did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Seattle Fire treated her and transported her to Harborview.
#2022-254941/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1702 hours, officers responded along with Seattle Fire to a fire inside DESC housing located at 510 Minor Av N. SFD reported that a small fire was intentionally set inside the building on the floor where vulnerable people reside. A resident of the building was frustrated she was locked out of her apartment. She lit some paper on fire, added additional paper and cardboard as accelerant. The fire grew to a foot in height, catching the carpet in the hallway on fire. The resident put additional cardboard over the top of the small fire before stomping on it to smother and extinguish the fire. The resident was placed under arrest for Reckless Burning and booked into KCJ.
