#2022-255310/West Precinct/Third Watch:
On 09-24-2022 at 0007 hours, officers were dispatched to a large encampment fire at 1000 6 Ave S. Most of the northern portion of the encampment was engulfed in flames necessitating a large response from Seattle Fire. Seattle City Light also responded due to possible damage to the wires above. SFD found nothing suspicious.
#2022-255361/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0053 hours, officers located an occupied suspicious vehicle without license plates parked in a parking lot. The driver was slumped over with narcotics paraphernalia in his lap. VIN returned to a stolen vehicle. As officers contacted and attempted to arrest the suspect, he tried to bite officers before putting the vehicle into reverse and striking one officer with the open driver’s door, knocking the officer down and nearly running him over. The suspect fled the scene and attempts by responding officers to locate the suspect vehicle were negative. Injured officer treated at hospital for broken wrist.
#2022-255362/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0054 hours, officers responded to the 2800 Block of SW Barton ST (Westwood village) for a report of a short time delay burglary to the MOD pizza business. Officers responded to the scene to find a single key in the backdoor lock open door. The building was clear, and officers noticed the cash register was missing. A K9 arrived on scene and assisted with a track. Negative results on area check or K9 track.
#2022-255655/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 1019 hours, a witness called 911 to report seeing a female stabbing a male. Officers located a male with stab wounds to his leg. Victim transported to HMC via AMR. Area check was negative for suspect.
#2022-256152/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2044 hours, officers were flagged down about a fight disturbance at the Don Armeni Boat Ramp. Two intoxicated involved parties were located and interviewed about their roles in the incident. Both displayed injuries to their faces and hands and were treated on scene by Seattle Fire. These subjects reported being assaulted by a group of twenty 18-20 year-old males in an unprovoked attack. The subjects further reported that no words were exchanged with the suspects before or after the assault, leaving them unsure of any possible motive. The suspects fled the scene in vehicles prior to police arrival and no further specifics were provided by the remaining subjects. One of the subjects reported that his cell phone and wallet had been taken at some point during the incident, but it was unknown by which of the twenty suspects. An area check for additional involved parties was unsuccessful.
#2022-256209/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2202 hours, officers responded to an in-progress residential burglary. The suspect was reportedly ramming the front door with a wooden pallet to force entry into the home. Residents used their body force to prevent the suspect from entering. The suspect caused significant damage to the door. The home was occupied by five people, including a small child. Suspect walked away upon hearing sirens. Officers located and arrested the suspect a short distance away from the home. The suspect was booked into KCJ.
