Detectives are investigating after a man was critically wounded in a shooting in the Pioneer Square neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
At 3:20 p.m., police responded to 3rd Avenue and Yesler Way for reports that a man had been shot. Arriving officers found a man with a gunshot wound and began first aid. Seattle Fire Department medics also responded and transported the 27-year-old victim to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
According to witnesses, the suspect fled the area in a vehicle prior to police arrival.
Homicide Detectives responded and will lead the ongoing investigation.
