#2022-268752/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 10-07-2022 at 0701 hours, an officer noted a down male and contacted him to check his welfare. The male had been sleeping near an entry to an open business but immediately woke up when the officer introduced himself. The officer noted a handgun in the waist band of the male’s pants. After disarming the male, the officer investigated further and found the male had an NCO preventing possession of a firearm and was a convicted felon. Search incident to arrest, a second gun was found. Male booked into KCJ.
#2022-268839/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At approximately 0030 a 7-11 employee was working inside the store located at the 9000 BLK of Delridge Way SW. Two suspects entered the store and grabbed beer, chips, and other drinks. The suspects left the store without paying for the items, and the employee followed. The employee photographed the suspects and walked up to their vehicle. One of the suspects brandished a firearm at the employee. The suspects then left the location. The robbery was reported to SPD nine hours later. Robbery was notified about the incident VIA email due to a nine-hour time delay.
#2022-269495/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2050 hours, a male victim reports that he was seated in his parked vehicle behind a large brewery / loft apartment building. The suspect approached the victim and asked the victim for his crossbow, which was on the passenger seat. The victim declined to give the crossbow to the suspect and the suspect shot the victim twice. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the face and to the abdomen. The victim was initially transported to the hospital with injuries believed to be life-threatening. Once at the hospital his condition was upgraded to serious/stable. Officers searched the area for a crime scene but were unable to locate it. The victim’s vehicle was taken to the SPD Processing Room. Area search for the suspect was negative. GVRU notified.
#2022-269510/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2106 hours, officers responded to reports of a shooting at a Seattle Fire Station. Upon arrival officers located a damaged window on the front of the fire station with a small hole through only one pane of the window. An evidence search was conducted, and a marble sized ball bearing was located outside the window. Officers were in the area at the time of occurrence and did not hear any gunshots. SFD employees also stated they did not hear any gunshots, only the impact of the glass. Incident was screened.
#2022-269560/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2212 hours, there were multiple reports of 3-4 shots fired near 23 Ave/E Union St. While enroute, a caller reported a white sedan speed EB on Union St shortly after the shots. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses who observed the driver of a white sedan fire 3-4 shots in the air while traveling EB in the 2300 block of E Union St. The driver quickly drove away EB on E Union St. Patrol processed the scene and evidence of a shooting was recovered.
