(UPDATED)One Killed, One Injured in Yesler Terrace Shooting

Seattle Police detectives with the Major Crimes Task Force, Narcotics, and Homicide located and arrested the suspects involved in the Yesler Terrace shooting last year October.  

Police arrested a 45-year-old male suspect for investigation of homicide and a 44-year-old female suspect for rendering criminal assistance. Both suspects were booked into King County Jail.

Detectives are investigating after one man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in Yesler Terrace on Friday morning. 

At 4:29 a.m., multiple 911 callers reported hearing shots near the 1100 block of East Fir Street. Officers arrived and found a 27-year-old man with a fatal gunshot wound, and Seattle Fire Department medics declared him deceased at the scene. Medics also transported a second victim — a 52-year-old man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound — to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. 

Police recovered a stolen tow truck at the scene and will continue to investigate to determine if it was involved in the shooting. 

Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene for evidence. 

Homicide Detectives also responded and will lead the ongoing investigation.
