Police are investigating after a man was shot and injured near the SODO neighborhood on Friday night.
At 8:52 p.m., a 911 caller reported he had been flagged down by an injured motorist near Airport Way South and South Forest Street. Police arrived and discovered the motorist had been shot in the face and the abdomen. Seattle Fire Department medics transported the 45-year-old man to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers briefly interviewed the victim at the hospital. He said he had been sitting in his car, parked behind a building, when a man came up to his window and demanded his crossbow which was on the passenger seat. When the victim declined, the suspect shot him. The victim then drove away from the area and flagged down someone to call 911 for him.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
