#2022-273714/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-12-2022 at 0249 hours, officers responded to a report of shots fired near 24 Ave SW and SW Holden St. Callers nearby reported bullet damage to their apartments. Officers arrived and found bullet damage to 3 apartments in the same building. Witnesses reported hearing 1 shot, a brief pause, and then 4 rapid additional shots. The only information provided came from ear witnesses and no suspect(s) or vehicle(s) description was obtained. Officers conducted a search and located evidence of a shooting that was collected and submitted. No additional victims or property damage were located. GVRU was notified via email and the incident was screened.

#2022-273732/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0406 hours, officers responded to a suspicious fire. Seattle Fire had responded at 0255 hours. A vehicle parked in an alley was on fire and ignited part of a detached garage that it was parked next to. Fire Marshal considered it suspicious as there was a shots call fewer than 10 blocks away. The resident heard the shots and then voices nearby. They then noticed the vehicle on fire. There were no injuries reported. Fire Marshal contacted SPD’s ABS.

#2022-272766/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 0631 hours, officers developed probable cause to arrest a suspect for Robbery 2nd (see #2022-272744). Some officers recognized the description from a previous encounter earlier in the shift. The officers conducted an area search and located the suspect. When the suspect was contacted by the officer, he struck an officer in the face with a closed fist. The suspect was taken into custody and booked for the robbery and Assault 3rd.

#2022-273933/East Precinct/First Watch:

At 0929 hours, a high school principal reported that multiple students in gym received an air drop text message saying a bomb was in the bleachers set to go off at 0900. Officers arrived and searched the gymnasium and did not find anything suspicious within the bleachers. Screened with ABS.

#2022-274073/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1156 hours, a male resident of a mental health care facility was extremely agitated and assaulted multiple other residents. The suspect entered his unit and exited a short time later carrying a garbage can with its contents on fire. He approached a shared open space and threw the burning can into the room. The suspect was arrested and booked for Arson 1st.

#2022-274268/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1515 hours, officers received several calls regarding a female in crisis along Aurora Ave N. A caller reported that the female jumped into the passenger seat of his car and yelled for him to drive, stating she believed someone was shooting at her. The female left the car and continued on foot south to the Home Depot parking lot where she attempted to access rental vehicles, telling security she believed a dead body was in them. The female eventually walked back north to Kidd Valley where she called 911 providing her name and stating that her brother was being held hostage with no further details. At approximately 1515 hours a female matching the same distinct description entered the back seat of a male victim’s car while he was in it at 14333 Aurora Ave N. The suspect requested a ride to the hospital and the victim declined. The victim exited his car to remove the suspect from the back seat when she jumped to the driver’s seat. The suspect drove forward momentarily before backing up and dragging the victim with his open driver door approximately 20 feet. The female suspect drove onto Aurora Ave N where she collided into a vehicle at N 145 St and fled the area in the stolen car. An area check for the suspect was negative. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Robbery notified.

#2022-274417/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1615 hours, two unknown males kicked in the door to a home near 40 Av S and S Eddy St. The suspects were wearing all black with masks and gloves. They held up the two residents at gunpoint and ransacked the home, taking mostly electronics, and drove away in an unknown vehicle.

#2022-274340/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1622 hours, officers responded to a report of approximately five shots heard near 26 Av S/ S Massachusetts St. While enroute, a nearby resident called in, stating two bullets had struck her house and penetrated an interior wall. Officers arrived and collected evidence. There was no further information at the time of this report.
