Detectives Seeking Info on Suspects in Fatal CID Shooting

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying two, of three, suspects in the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man in the Chinatown-International District in April.

Gibson Moore was fatally shot outside of an apartment building in the 400 block of South Main Street on April 20th, 2022.

Gibson had come to the aid of a friend, who was involved in a verbal altercation, outside the Addison building around 12:30 AM. One of the Suspects grabbed Gibson from behind and threw him to the ground, starting a physical fight. As the fight was winding down, the gunman ambushed and shot Moore, who died at the scene.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured images of the suspects. Police are hoping someone may recognize the two unidentified men and help lead investigators to them. Gibson’s girlfriend and family are also hoping for answers.
