#2022-275808/West Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-14-2022 at 0218 hours, officers responded to a call of a car fire. Upon arrival they found 2 cars in flames, both parked along the side of the road, approximately 100 yards apart from each other, one on a vehicle trailer. There were numerous cars between the two but only the two were damaged and both belonged to the same victim. Both cars were destroyed. Seattle Fire responded as well as Fire Marshal and noted that the vehicles appeared to have been intentionally set on fire. No one was hurt and no other vehicles were damaged. Screened with SPD’s Arson Bomb Squad.

#2022-275819/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0253 hours, Seattle Fire requested SPD join them for a medical call inside an encampment near at 10 Av S and S King St. Emphasis patrol officers responded and escorted SFD into the encampment and provided security for SFD until they were done.

#2022-275930/East Precinct/First Watch:

At 0705 hours, a suspect shoplifted an item from QFC and as security was escorting him out, the suspect yelled a racial slur. No threats were made, and the victim was not interested in pursuing charges for the theft. Incident screened.

#2022-275961/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0745 hours, a Seattle Parks employee called to report that there was a bullet hole in a metal box located at the 2800 BLK of SW Roxbury St. SPD arrived and located a bullet hole with a spent bullet inside a drop box. The evidence was recovered and submitted. It is unknown when the incident occurred.

#2022-276531/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1655 hours, multiple people called 911 to report hearing shots fired near the 8300 Block of Renton AV S. Officers responded and recovered evidence of a shooting. Witnesses stated the shots were fired from a black 2000s sedan traveling northbound. The occupants were described as two males wearing ski masks. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate any property damage. No injuries were reported.

#2022-276737/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2033 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area of 21 Av S/S Plum St. Officers were flagged down by the victim who works at an auto shop in the area. Victim stated he was getting off work as an unknown black Audi Q5 was driving past the shop occupied by two unknown males. The victim pulled in behind the suspect vehicle and they travelled for about a block when the suspect vehicle stopped, the passenger got out, and fired 5 shots at the victim. Victim was not stuck nor was the victim’s vehicle. Officers located the scene and photographed and collected evidence in the 2100 block of S Grand St. Suspects left in unknown direction. Patrol processed the scene. The incident was screened with GVRU.

#2022-276787/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2158 hours, officers responded to a report of a large house party in the 5600 block of 40 AVE SW. On arrival, officers encountered roughly 100 juvenile partiers, some began anti-police chants. One suspect threw at least two fist-sized rocks at officers, striking victim officer in the shin causing injury. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended without incident and booked into YSC.

#2022-276824/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2300 hours, after a verbal altercation, a suspect fired a handgun toward a known victim. Both then fled in different directions. Patrol interviewed witnesses and processed the scene. Later in the evening the victim and suspect returned; the victim called 911 again. Officers responded again to the location and the suspect fled just prior to their arrival. Officers assisted the victim in getting to a safe location for the evening. K9 and Guardian One were unavailable.
