#2022-279903/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

On 10-18-2022 at 0528 hours, officers responded to a shots fired call on the 2600 block of Alki Av SW. Officers arrived and after an area search, found evidence of a shooting along the street on that block. They contacted the caller who stated they were walking along Alki Way SW and observed the suspect vehicle parked. The vehicle started and drove westbound on Alki. The driver fired 4 to 6 shots into the air as it drove off. There were no injuries reported and no property damage found. An area check for the suspect vehicle was negative. The evidence was submitted.

#2022-280455/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1615 hours, officers received information that a subject experiencing financial stress was on his boat with a gun in his mouth prepared to die by suicide. Multiple units responded to the location and the subject was not aboard the boat. The subject’s whereabouts are not known at this time, mutual aid partners notified.

#2022-280466/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1634 hours, a female victim was driving southbound in the 10100 Block of Rainier AV S. The victim was traveling within the normal traffic patterns. She noticed a tan, older sedan traveling southbound (about three cars behind her). The suspect vehicle passed southbound vehicles, and as it approached the victim’s car, a shot was fired. The bullet entered the front driver’s window, traveled through the vehicle, and exited the front passenger window. The bullet nearly missed striking the driver and her 12-year-old son, who was sitting in the front seat. The victim’s four-year-old and nine-month-old children were in the back seat of her vehicle. The victim sustained several lacerations to her face and neck from the glass that entered her vehicle. Seattle Fire responded and treated her injuries. The children were not injured. Officers recovered evidence of a shooting at the scene. The victim described the suspect vehicle as an older tan sedan, possibly and Toyota Camry or Lexus. She did not see the occupants. This did not appear to be a case of road rage. This occurred next to Lakeridge Playfield, occupied by several families/children.

#2022-280519/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1734 hours, a male victim stated he was waiting in his vehicle near 37 Av S/ S Genesee St for an acquaintance he only knew by first name. When the subject got into the vehicle, he produced a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victim’s belongings. The victim began driving and pushed the suspect out of the passenger side of the vehicle. The suspect then reportedly fled in an unknown direction in a white, Ford Fusion. Arriving officers processed the scene and the incident was screened with the robbery unit.

#2022-280725/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2240 hours, officers responded to the vicinity of Minor Ave N & Republican St regarding several reports of a shooting incident. During the investigation, it was determined the suspect vehicle was stopped in the middle of the intersection when the victim pulled up behind. After honking his horn at the suspect vehicle several times, the victim proceeded around the suspect vehicle and turned westbound on Republican St. The suspect vehicle then quickly pulled up alongside the passenger side of the victim vehicle, pulled out a pistol, and fired a single shot at the victim. The shot struck the passenger side front door of the victim vehicle, at which time the victim sped northbound on Fairview Ave N, with the suspect following closely behind. Upon reaching the Mercer St I-5 onramp, the victim continued north onto I-5, while the suspect proceeded south on I-5. Upon arriving near his residence in North Precinct, the victim called Seattle Police to report the shooting and damage to his vehicle. Officers recovered evidence of a shooting from the front passenger floorboard of the victim’s vehicle. Suspect was not located.
