#2022-285687/North Precinct/Third Watch:

On 10-24-2022 at 0016 hours, officers responded to NE 45 ST / University WY NE for a report of an assault. Officers located and arrested the suspect a few blocks away. While advising suspect of their rights, suspect spat on one of the officers, hitting them in the face. No force was used as suspect was already in handcuffs. Suspect booked into KCJ for Assault 3.

#2022-285701/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0055 hours, officers responded to a report of 15-20 shots in the area of Lincoln Park. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting near the north parking lot tree line. Officers contacted a witness who advised he had seen 2 suspects flee the scene SB on Fauntleroy Way SW in a green pickup truck with “glowing wheels.” The scene was processed by patrol. No victims or damage located. GVRU notified.

#2022-285741/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0233 hours, a victim called to report he had been stabbed. Officers contacted the victim who stated he was lying in bed when the suspect came up and stabbed him and stole his phone. The victim was reluctant to provide any additional details.

#2022-286012/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 1036 hours, a victim was at the 9400 BLK of Delridge Way SW and saw two male suspects assaulting a different victim. The victim attempted to intervene and stop the suspects from assaulting the first victim. The suspects punched him in the face and stomped on him while he was on the ground. One of the suspects reached into his pocket and stole his wallet. The suspects then fled from the scene. The victim had swelling on his face. Officers arrived and conducted an area search, but the suspects weren’t located.

#2022-286377/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At approximately 1721 hours, officers responded to 601 S. King St., Pink Gorilla, for a report of a robbery that had just occurred with a gun displayed. The suspect male, possibly in his 20’s, 6’0 +, wearing black face mask that only exposed his eyes, heavy dark blue jacket, and possibly a brown backpack entered the store and after a short conversation demanded a PS3 and displayed a small dark handgun. The suspect left southbound on foot and was not located during an area check.

#2022-285457/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1834 hours, officers located two stolen trucks taken in two recent burglaries. As the officers attempted contact, one vehicle fled while the second vehicle intentionally rammed an officer, partially pinning him against his own vehicle prior to fleeing the area. That suspect was able to flee. The first vehicle that fled crashed almost immediately and the driver was taken into custody. The officer sustained injuries and was transported to HMC for further medical treatment/evaluation. MCTF was contacted and responded to the South Precinct to interview the suspect, who had been arrested. Through that interview, the suspect who had assaulted the officer and managed to flee was located and taken into custody in his RV, in the Central District. Additionally, other items of evidence and stolen property were recovered from the initial burglaries. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 1, Burglary x2, and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. MCTF will be handling the follow-up investigation.
