On 11-04-2022 at 0845 hours, a male victim was walking and texting on his cell phone in an alley near the 500blk Broadway Av. E. A black Ford Bronco driven by a male with a 40s female passenger drove up alongside and asked about a specific location and could he look it up on his phone. The female then presented a knife (6 inch) and said, “hand over your phone, I will kill you!” The victim handed over his phone and the suspects drove away in an unknown direction. The victim was not able to see a license plate or any other specific identifiers. Officers located possible evidence. Robbery was not called to the scene.

#2022-296977/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1422 hours, officers received information about a large, impromptu demonstration at 7/Jackson involving approximately 100 vehicles and several hundred people. The demonstrators drove onto I-5 NB and proceeded to block the freeway just south of Olive Way, causing a significant public safety hazard and traffic jam NB. CRG/POET were requested and responded to assist Washington State Patrol, who was primary. Once on scene and due to a previous working relationship with the marchers, POET assisted WSP in facilitating communication between them and the demonstrators. Eventually, they ended the demonstration and cleared the freeway. The demonstration ended with no arrests.
