Police are investigating after two people were shot and wounded Tuesday night in the Central District.
At 8:56 p.m., police responded to the intersection of East Alder Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way for reports of a shooting. A witness reported four people were shooting at each other in the street.
Arriving officers found two victims with gunshot wounds – a 24-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man. Seattle Fire Department Medics transported both victims to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Police found multiple residences in the area with ballistic damage, and officers collected approximately two dozen spent shell casings.
