#2022-317564/South Precinct/Third Watch:

On 11-27-2022 at 0137 hours, officers responded to shots heard in the 7300 Block of 43 Ave S. Upon arriving, officers located evidence of a shooting in the street. Witnesses reported only hearing shots. No victims, suspects, or damage were located. Officers collected evidence.

#2022-317587/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0220 hours, officers witnessed a tractor trailer traveling southbound on I-5 crash into the center median and immediately catch fire. Officers were able to assist the two uninjured occupants out of the cab and away from the vehicle. SPD assisted with traffic control until sufficient WSP units arrived to take control of the scene.

#2022-317856/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 1044 hours, officers were dispatched to a robbery at a Walgreen’s. The security guard stated he observed a suspect shoplifting, at which point he confronted her. The suspect immediately called the victim security guard derogatory names and assaulted the victim. The suspect would not give up the property, at which point a struggle ensued. The victim was able to retrieve the property from the suspect. The suspect then called the victim more derogatory names and assaulted him again. The victim stated to officers that he feels he was assaulted based on his race. The victim sustained cuts on his face and hand. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. Incident screened with Lt.

#2022-317971/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1326 hours, officers responded to assist Seattle Fire with a combative subject. The suspect had been involved in a disturbance at a shelter, where a staff member, who was intervening, was kicked and punched by the suspect. Suspect then passed out due to suspected narcotic use. Staff member called SFD for medical assistance and provided Narcan which caused the suspect to become conscious. The suspect woke in an aggressive manner and kicked a SFD firefighter, causing a potential knee injury and then attempted to assault another firefighter. Officers placed the suspect under arrest without incident. Suspect was transported to HMC prior to being booked into KCJ. Incident screened.

#2022-318383/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2300 hours, two males were standing in a business alcove adjacent to a large sidewalk encampment in the 700 block of 3rd Av. A security guard approached and requested the two vacate the private property. The suspect lifted his shirt and removed a handgun from his waistband while warning the guard, “This is not worth losing your life over.” The victim backed away and called 911. Officers located and detained the suspect after a short foot pursuit. Due to a hard takedown, a level 2 use of force was initiated. No injuries or pain were observed or reported. The handgun was not located on the suspect and was likely handed-off to someone prior to officers’ arrival. Search incident to arrest, Fentanyl and Methamphetamine were located on the suspect who is active status with DOC.
