#2022-319436/West Precinct/First Watch:
On 11-29-2022 at 0622 hours, an officer on patrol was flagged down by a King County Metro supervisor about a male near 3 AV and LENORA ST waving a firearm around. Officers blocked traffic on 3 AV and created contact teams. Officers attempted dialogue with the male, who appeared to be agitated, but those efforts were unsuccessful. Eventually the suspect placed the firearm down and the contact team began to chase the suspect until he tripped and was taken into custody. The firearm was determined to be fake. Further investigation showed the suspect pointed the firearm at a passing bus with occupants on it and a Metro Supervisor. Arrested for Investigation of Harassment and booked into KCJ.
#2022-320003/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1756 hours, an individual was brought to NW hospital with a single gunshot wound to the leg. He initially claimed to have been shot in Shoreline and then later told officers he was shot in the Northgate area near the QFC. Officers conducted an area check but found no evidence of a shooting and no reports of shots were made at the time. The subject was stable and eventually transported to Harborview for additional treatment. GVRU was notified of the incident.
