Police arrested a man and woman in connection with the death of the woman’s 4-year-old child on Sunday night in Queen Anne.
Just after 10:30 p.m., officers responded with Seattle Fire Department personnel to the 100 block of West Olympic Place for an unresponsive child. SFD medics attempted life-saving measures, but the boy was declared deceased at the scene.
Based on evidence of traumatic injury to the victim, police arrested the child’s 23-year-old mother and the mother’s 20-year-old boyfriend. Officers booked both suspects into the King County Jail for murder. Officers booked the man into King County Jail for murder. Officers transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center after she was declined at the jail for medical reasons. She will also be booked into KCJ for murder when she is released from the hospital.
Members of SPD’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to process the scene for evidence.
Homicide Detectives also responded and will continue to investigate.
