Detectives are asking the public to help identify a man who attempted to rob a store employee at knifepoint in Capitol Hill last month.
On November 4th at about 3:20 p.m., police were called to a shop in the 600 block of East Pike Street for an armed robbery. The suspect attempted to buy cigarettes, but when his two credit cards were declined, he pulled out a large kitchen knife and demanded the employee hand over the money in the cash register.
The employee ran out of the store and called for help, and the would-be robber fled the scene with nothing but his kitchen knife.
The man was described as approximately six feet tall, average build, wearing a white baseball cap, black/white jacket with hood on, blue jeans and black shoes.
