#2022-339016/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 12-20-2022 at 0801 hours, radio broadcasted an industrial accident investigation at a construction site located near Broadway/E Alder St. The description of the call detailed the following circumstances, “PERSON CRUSHED BY PANEL AT CONSTRUCTION SITE. SCREENING FIRE.” Numerous patrol units were deployed along with Settle Fire, Metro, and SDOT. When units arrived on scene, they met with SFD as rescue attempts were underway after a cement panel had apparently fallen on three construction workers. Two victims were able to self-evacuate, while a third had to be lifted from under the collapsed panel. All three victims were transported to HMC for further medical evaluation.

#2022-339264/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1330 hours, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of NE 42 ST for a theft call. Reporting party (RP) reported someone outside their home stealing electricity. Suspect threatened RP when confronted. When officers arrived, they were able to locate and arrest the suspect. While two officers were escorting the handcuffed suspect back to their patrol vehicle, suspect grabbed one of the officer’s arms and tripped the second officer. The officer who was tripped landed on his side, causing transitory pain. Suspect was placed into the back of the patrol vehicle, transported to KCJ, and booked for Assault 3.

#2022-339409/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1711 hours, a suspect got into an altercation with a victim. Suspect brandished a knife, lunged at the victim, and called the victim a racially derogatory term. The victim felt he was attacked based on his race as the incident seemed unprovoked. Officers located and arrested the suspect, and a knife was recovered. No one sustained any injuries. Suspect was booked for Hate Crime.
