Detectives are investigating after a woman was found deceased in a burning home on Wednesday morning in Beacon Hill.
At about 10:00 a.m., police and Seattle Fire Department personnel responded to a house fire in the 5900 block of 23rd Avenue South. While fighting the fire, firefighters discovered a deceased 70-year-old woman in the home.
Detectives from SPD’s Arson/Bomb Squad responded to the scene, as well as members of SFD’s Fire Investigation Unit.
Homicide Detectives also responded and will lead the ongoing investigation.
