#2022-339936/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 12-21-2022 at 1010 hours, officers responded to a report of a carjacking. The victim said two females entered his parents’ rental vehicle near N 84 and Fremont Av N and asked for a ride. When the victim refused, the females attacked him with a pen and then pushed him from the vehicle. Robbery notified.
#2022-340112/North Precinct/Second Watch:
On 12-21-2022 at 1330 hours, officers responded to a business in the North Precinct for a trespass complaint. The complainant, an employee, stated that the suspect earlier this week had threatened for no apparent reason to kill him and used a slur placing the complainant in reasonable fear. The suspect had returned to the store multiple times over the last couple of days, and they had taken to locking the door to prevent his making entry. Officers contacted the suspect and placed him under arrest for investigation of a hate crime offense.
#2022-340383/South Precinct/Third Watch:
On 12-21-2022 at 2200 hours, officers responded to a two vehicle collision, where Driver 1 collided with vehicle 2 when entering a private parking lot. Driver 1, who showed obvious signs of intoxication to Driver 2, accused Driver 2 of being racist because he called the police. Officers arrived and determined there was probable cause to arrest Driver 1 for DUI. An investigation at the scene showed no signs of bias on Driver 2’s part. Driver 2 also captured the incident on his phone and uploaded it to AXON Citizen. Both parties were interviewed about the incident and a lieutenant was notified. Driver 1 was processed for DUI and released from the East Precinct.
