#2023-001224/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 01-02-2023 at 0736 hours, a caller reported hearing one gunshot in the 14000 Block of 27 AVE NE. On arrival, officers located a single bullet hole in a vehicle parked parallel to a residence. Screened with GVRU. Patrol processed the scene.
#2023-001249/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0809 hours, officers along with Seattle Fire responded to a report of a male caller reporting he had taken fentanyl pills and was overdosing. SFD initially spoke to the male through the door but then he became unresponsive. SFD then forced the door open. Due to prior incidents with the male officers entered the room with medics and located the male unresponsive on the ground. They observed a burnt residue on foil next to the subject and noted there was a thick cloud of smoke and noxious odor in the room. Due to the exposure one firefighter was given NARCAN. A total of 5 SFD and 2 SPD personnel were exposed to the unknown fumes and evaluated at the scene. As of 1020 hours all fire personnel have return to work and all SPD officers are doing well.
#2023-001855/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2217 hours, officers responded to 607 3 Ave to a report of a fire in a unit. After investigating, officers determined the resident entered his apartment, intentionally lit a large construction site size garbage can on fire in his bathroom and left the unit within 2 minutes. Minimal fire damage to the unit, but the sprinkler system caused significant water damage. Suspect was not located at the location or in the area. SFD fire marshal responded. SPD’s ABS notified.
