Sawed-Off Shotgun, Two Machetes and Narcotics Recovered After Shots Fired Tuesday Afternoon

Seattle Police officers responded to a report of a man with a firearm and shots fired near the Chinatown-International District neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.  

At approximately 01:30 p.m., officers arrived in the 1400 block of South Lane Street and searched for injured subjects and the suspect, but no one was located. Police contacted subjects and businesses in the area for more information about the incident.  

Two subjects reported the male suspect had approached them with a black handgun and asked if they were native. When they replied no, the male suspect walked away. The male and female victim heard shots soon after the interaction. 

During the investigation, officers obtained a search warrant to recover a saw-offed shotgun, two machetes, 14 grams of methamphetamine, and other firearm accessories that were located in a tent.
