Seattle Police responded to locate a stolen vehicle involved in a carjacking where a man was held at gunpoint by two males and a third male drove off with his vehicle early Wednesday morning near Judkins Park.
At approximately 04:00 a.m., officers arrived and conducted an extensive search for the stolen vehicle in the 900 block of 26th Avenue South but did not locate it.
Police later learned the 27-year-old male victim was assisting a friend with purchasing gas in the 400 block of 12th Avenue near Yesler Terrace neighborhood around 02:30 a.m., when he was approached by four males. The victim reported two of the four males pointed a black handgun at his face and demanded he empty his pockets, while another male suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and drove off. After obtaining the victim’s personal property, the remaining suspects left in another vehicle.
The victim’s vehicle had numerous items with air tags that were tracked to a location in the 1200 block of South 336th Street in Federal Way. SPD officers contacted Federal Way Police department to search for the stolen vehicle.
Federal Way PD found the stolen vehicle with occupants and arrested one of the occupants. SPD officers completed the recovery and impounding of the stolen vehicle for further investigation.
