#2023-047940/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-19-2023 at 0549 hours, officers responded to several reports of shots being heard. The caller stated they heard arguing between the occupants of two vehicles. They then heard shots followed by the vehicles driving off. Officers arrived and found no vehicles or subjects in the area. Evidence of a shooting was found nearby. A further area check for evidence or victims was negative.
#2023-048061/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0940 hours, officers were inside a 7-11 chatting with the clerk when a male adult walk into the store. The subject stopped after seeing officers, turned around, and ran back to a waiting 2021 metallic gold Dodge Challenger. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed west bound. After reviewing video, it was noted that the subject had his right hand in his jacket pocket when he entered the store.
#2023-048230/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1413 hours, an apparently mentally ill suspect approached a couple walking to their parked vehicle and asked them for money. When the victims refused, the suspect pulled an illegal fixed-blade knife from her pocket. The suspect pointed the knife at the victims and demanded money. The victims were able to enter their vehicle and lock themselves inside before calling for police. The suspect paced around the vehicle and continued to demand money from the victims until officers arrived. Upon arrival officers verbally deescalated the situation and convinced the suspect to drop the knife. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, and subsequently booked into KCJ for Robbery.
