Police Recover Narcotics, Cash, and Gun from Arrested Drive-by Shooting Suspect

Police received a 911 call about shots heard near the intersection of South King Street and 10th Avenue South in the Chinatown International District Friday evening. 

When officers arrived just after 08:00 p.m., a witness reported seeing a driver of a white Mercedes Benz shooting in the air before driving off from the area. No one injured was located.

Police conducted a search for the suspect vehicle and found it. The suspect driver was taken into custody without incident.  

Officers recovered shell casings from the area of where the shots were fired. Police also recovered the following from the suspect vehicle:

  • Crack cocaine
  • Methamphetamines
  • Heroine
  • Fentanyl pills
  • Approximately $4,000.00 in cash
  • Shell casing
  • A Handgun

The 48-year-old male suspect was arrested for drive-by shooting, unlawful possession of a firearm, and possession of narcotics. He was later booked into King County Jail.
