Seattle Police responded to a report of a man stabbed in Downtown Seattle earlier this morning.
Police arrived just after 02:30 a.m. near the intersection of 3rd Avenue South and South Main Street and found a man with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his shoulder. Seattle Fire Department provided medical care at the scene and later transported the man to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
The 29-year-old male victim reported he had been stabbed near the intersection of Queen Anne Avenue North and Mercer Street after having a verbal argument with an unknown man prior to boarding a bus.
Officers searched for the suspect and located him near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Union Street. The 63-year-old male suspect was taken into custody and arrested for assault. During the search of the suspect, police recovered a knife and a stolen firearm.
The suspect was additionally arrested for possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was later booked into King County Jail after receiving medical care at Harborview Medical Center for a previous injury.
