Police responded to assist the Seattle Fire Department with a fire of an abandoned building in the University District neighborhood Sunday evening.
Officers arrived just before 09:00 p.m. in the 800 block of Northeast 42nd Street and were informed of a deceased woman in the building.
The circumstances surrounding how the woman ended up in the building is unknown at this time.
Arson Bomb Squad detectives are not investigating this death as a homicide at this time and will take responsibility for the case.
