#2023-053608/North Precinct/First Watch:
On 02-25-2023 at 0935 hours, a male victim was panhandling and charging his phone at a gas station in the 5700 block of 15 Av NW. A black Jaguar XJ was parked while getting gas. The driver of the vehicle got into a seemingly unprovoked disturbance with the victim calling him a series of racially biased names. Then, as the suspect was leaving in the vehicle, he pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to kill the victim. The victim believes that he was targeted due to his race. The suspect then fled in the vehicle with a husky dog and female passenger. An area check did not locate the suspect or vehicle. Lt. screened the incident. Bias alert email sent.
#2023-053689/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1150 hours, a victim was driving N/B on Aurora AV N, just after exiting the tunnel and heard a loud pop and something strike his vehicle. Officers responded and confirmed that there appeared to be a bullet hole in his passenger door with no apparent exit damage. A black older model Infiniti with a spoiler and silver trim was seen behind the suspect around the time of the shooting, but no one was seen shooting a firearm and no suspect description was available.
#2023-054139/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2036 hours, officers received a report of a stolen vehicle with active tracking. CRG responded to last known location and coordinated with East officers to find the vehicle. Surveillance was established, suspect was seen going into the vehicle and driving away. Suspect was followed until he came to a stop and exited the vehicle at which point he was safely apprehended for Auto Theft.
#2023-054230/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2258 hours, officers were dispatched to the report of shots fired. Complainant heard two shots, then witnessed a female with a black handgun. Complainant did not see what she was shooting at. No damage was found and no victims. Evidence of a shooting was recovered at the scene. Female fled the scene on foot.
