Yesterday, at approximately 04:00 p.m. Seattle Police received a report that a high school student was threatened with a firearm in the 8800 block of Seward Park Avenue South.
It was reported that an unknown male threatened to kill a 16-year-old while showing him a handgun located in his waistband. A school staff member intervened and told the male suspect to leave the area.
The male suspect and another male left in a silver Chrysler 200 series vehicle. Officers obtained the license plate information and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen.
As officers were driving in the area, the suspect vehicle was spotted near the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Othello Street. Police attempted to stop the car, but it sped off.
Other officers in the area were able to stop the car at the intersection of South Henderson Street and Martin Luther King Junior Way South.
The five male occupants of the suspect vehicle were placed into custody. Three of the five male occupants were arrested and booked into the King County Child and Family Justice Center.
The 12-year-old male driver was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding. A 14-year-old male suspect was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and harassment. Another 14-year-old male suspect was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.
The fourth and fifth males were released from police custody to their legal guardians.
